Got to be happy with that. Wasnt the greatest start, to be honest we were allover the place but then just took over. Poole was the most dangerous on the 1st half but overall once again young Luke just tore them apart. How good is he. He had now developed strength and can hold it up aswell as everything else. Another motm performance for me even tho honour Gave it to Compton. Walton Poole and Compton would have been close 2nds for me.

League table looks ok 3 PTS off playoffs and a team that is playing so well. Im dreading January because James is gona be wanted and also Baldwin and duckworth should attract interest. Burgess loan period is also up and that's a must to renew.

Get through January with the players we have now and I see no reason why we can't challenge for automatic promotion come may. Anyone with top 12 bets just cash in now!

Great result. We are finally developing home form. Its been a long time coming.

Some of our players are as good as we had at our peak and that's no lie. We have the foundations of a very good team

It's encouraging.

Going through the winter is a good leveller, owt can happen.

Wait and see, but Cooper looks a good choice, so far.

Extremely comfortable today. Once that initial ten minute period was seen off they didn't threaten, Pools were in complete control.

Went quiet once Poole went off. Everything was coming through him.

Can anyone explain why their defender wasn't sent
Off or even booked btw??

Only reason I could think of was that the ref and linesman couldn't decide which of the two defenders niggling at Poole as he ran into the area was the most responsible, I was calling for them both to be sent off!!!

what pleased me most was the fact that Pools showed a ruthless streak in keeping them at arm's length. One of the problems in games like that is going to sleep and becoming sloppy/lethargic because the opposition don't seem to be a threat... then a mistake lets them in and all of a sudden you can be hanging on (Accrington game for example)... but Pools never let the work rate drop and kept the ball well, and always looked to get another one.

Poole has found his perfect position. In between James and Dolan. Basically an old school free role. The spine of the team is unreal, Walton in front if the back four, Dolan infront of him, then Poole infront if him and finally James upfront. Basically a 4-1-3-1-1. It clearly works. Pooles 1st touch is immense and he just glides with ball. Under cooper he has certainly improved.

Credit also to Dolan, the pass to James for the 1st was top drawer as was James touch and finish. 4-0 would have been a fair scoreline but we never really left 2nd gear and just strolled through it. Very easy win

I said about 4 or 5 weeks ago, I think Poole is strategically the most important player to us right now, the way the team is set up to play. If he gets injured or suspended, who else could play there? We'd have to drop either Walton or Dolan and play Walker in a more advanced central role, and that would be grossly unfair on either of those 2 right now!!

Fantastic problem for the manager to have though, Walker is a quality player as well who can't get into the starting XI

I'm really enjoying every game at the moment

Cooper has learned quickly and the players who last season were poor are now performing well. Monkhouse and Walton are like different players. Confidence seems to be very high.

We have gone from creating nothing to having chance after chance. Even the Rotherham defeat we had 18 attempts. We also have a 20 goal man in the side and that is the main thing required for promotion. Happy times

Monkhouse has been like a half million pound signing this season

Austin has been top notch as well, and has surprised me with the high quality of his play in possession..... it really is about belief in yourself and your team mates, it really is
