I like him. The Swindon fans loved him and apparently he is still quite popular with a large proportion of the Sunderland fans, although this won't take long to change if the current form continues.
He deserves more time. If Mr Cooper had the same sort of start I am sure most of the fans on here would be still behind him no matter how much money he had spent.

You've got to question the level of intelligence of some of the people in charge of football clubs who are perceived as 'big'. Most people with any sort of knowledge of the Football League said when Di Canio got a job in the Premiership that it was a laughable appointment at Premiership level. Yet they let the bloke sign about a dozen players (quite a few Italians) and spend £20 million plus before deciding after 5 games what everyone with half a brain knew before he got the job.
