There must be a canny delay on pools world as sky sports always reports half time etc before it.

Sounding good, Jeff Stelling just said 69% possession for us in first half!

I think pools world has to be one of the worst services I've ever heard. The video sound quality is terrible, the picture quality on videos is pixilated at times and then you have the bus driver commentating!
Don't know why anyone pays when you can listen to better quality for free dab digital radio with tees, then sky sports have highlights on before pools world. Again for free.

For a premium service it's terrible.

Under the cosh for the most part, they've hit the bar, missed a few and had one cleared off the line. Was always gonna happen just after half time. We need to stay tight and try to get them on the break.

Still would have been more than happy with a point before the game. Just a shame we got it from a winning position really.

We won't do anything till we learn to take chances, can't remember the last time we had a player score a 1 on 1

Looking at the positives, we got a point, scored a couple of goals and got the monkey off our back a little bit in terms of being fucked once we go 1-0 down.
Does seem like we concede a shit ton of points in the last few minutes but that's probably just that I notice it more than it happens

I don't like how far we keep sitting back, a centre back on for a winger with 25mins left? Were just inviting pressure.

it will come. That's a massive step forward as a reason for not winning games. Last 2 seasons we couldn't create more than one or two real chances in a game. If we missed them we were fucked... when players get plenty of chances they'll get better at taking them. It's purely down to confidence and composure now... everything else seems to be dropping into place as we hopefully start to look like a football team again at last

Good point, we still need to be more clinical.

Sounds like we were under the cosh for most of the second half and bringing a defender on was to try and hold 2-1.

As has been said, it's always disappointing to concede late on, but who wouldn't have taken a positive performance and getting a score draw. We'll beat Oxford United next week, no bother.

if we can stick those opportunities away which we will doubtless create (if we play like we have in the last 3 or 4 home games) then that will take the pressure off massively, and not worry so much about them scoring and going in front when we should have been 2 up

Win at home and draw away, putting together a mini-run. If we win against Oxford it will look very good.

I'd take another score draw against Oxford, not losing and taking chances is what this team needs.

Not losing can unfortunately only get you 46 points top whack, which puts you in excellent contention for relegation.
Fifteen wins and a draw gets you the same total and leaves 30 games in which to improve on it.
So a few wins wouldn't be out of place, y'know wharra mean.

Oxford at home is a tough game, they have spent a bit of money and also kept faith with their manager so have some stability

Fleetwood are 3rd, they were painfully average.

We've got very little to beat from what I've seen so far, but the heads down after conceding attitude hangover from last year has been a big thing to overcome. On top of not taking our chances, which at least we now create.

I agree wins are important but this side is good enough to go on a run if our best 11 stays fit and the goals come from more than a couple of players.

fully concurring with that.

The problems seem to be psychological problems right now, rather than ones of lack of ability

Of course it's a tough game, they all are at the moment as the confidence is still a little fragile. But it's a good time to play Oxford. Their captain and best defender Jake Wright is injured and will miss the game. His replacement as skipper, Andy Whing, was sent off yesterday and will also miss out. They will also be without two first choice forwards in James Constable (injured last week) and Dave Kitson (fifth booking yesterday).

:-D Sounds promising! May shot a few quid on.

yep teams know Pools aren't as mentally robust as we would like them to be, so it's still very much a big part of what Cooper has to contend with on a weekly basis. When his philosophy delivers regular victories then the players collective confidence will grow in unison with that

It's just getting them to keep believing in passing the ball and not abandoning how we know they can play as a team

And I think it should be a cracking game on Saturday

Good news on the injuries and suspensions for them, Kitson must be as dirty a 'lovely lovely person' as Howard if he has been booked 5 times already
