Yet another local pub to close, The Woodcutter to be demolished making way for housing development in the next couple of weeks.

One or two reader I know on here have had many a good night in the local.

They sponsored our Sunday team last year.

Great pub to go back too, food was spot on.

Two sets of county cup games going back tomorrow though so should make some good money in its last weekend!

So sad its a pity the developer couldn't make the place smaller by just having the bar as a bar/lounge, a smaller place might have survived. Also Hudsa now have to find a new home for their Wednesday night disco. What a pity now no pub in that area at all, the pink, the catcote now the woody.

unless a national chain buys it, then these pubs will all go the journey eventually. Ironic that my debt from the place looks like it will outlast the pub itself!!!!

Only problem it will be the tight arsed brewery making the money.

What's mad is all these pubs shut and the sites get turned to shops or houses.

Yet a new pub is being built down near B&Q

Hope people on here keep madjohn on suicide watch. This news could break him. But we may get the return of ' In The Mad Crowd' a bit faster as a result.
