£8.5million for dwight gayle who has had 1 season in the championship, an impressive one no doubt, but 8 million is daft money for someone unproven at the highest level.

That must make luke james instantly worth £3million.

Especially when there have been better performing young english players in the Championship last season.... Charlie Austin for instance.

My boss, who is a Peterborough season ticket holder, is laughing his head off at this as Tevez went for £10million and Darren Bent is valued at £8million.

But if as you have put it he has kicked a ball in anger in the top flight. then he's not unproven. One of those statements is in fact incorrect I know which one most others do but as your so quick to pull up others on their posts.

Well when you have people prepared to pay £4.60 a pint what do you expect.

Paying £55 to watch a daft friendly doesnt even faze some if these muppets.

Comparing this deal to other deals in europe makes it look even more mental.. Mario Gomez is apparantly leaving Bayern Munich for around £10m.. and this is a player who has scored 75 goals in 115 games for Bayern.

The fee was £2,750,000 which could rise to £4,000,000. It's not like the Daily Mail to pluck a sensational figure out of thin air.

Not really worth a thread to be honest

I still blame Ambramovich though.

I've never got the phrase 'never kicked a ball in anger' If he did he'd be an absolute liability.

Everytime he made contact with the ball screaming "bastards" or "arrgghhhh you coooonnnts"

You'd you have a worse disciplinary record than Joey Barton.

Ok well I'm not as mad then as the mail doubled the fee.

Still high like.

I blame IOR n the closure of the mill house for the Preston game
