I'll be buying one but like a moan-mates who support Premiershit clubs like Newcastle and Sunderland can't believe an L2 shirt is of similar money- I'm sure we'd sell more if season ticket holders got a discount of some sort, even 10% off club merchandise would be better than nought.

I bet them Newcastle and Sunderland supporting mates can't believe how much we pay for a season ticket either.

My guess is the cost to the club is the same no matter what the division.

The profit margin for the Premiership clubs is probably larger as the shirts are being mass produced.

I'm not really sure why a Nike Pools shirt should cost less than a Premiership clubs shirt, you are getting exactly the same thing for your forty odd quid, a decent quality football shirt. Absolutely bizarre post.

Plus with rules regarding turnover and the fact the are getting to watch half the games next season for a £150 surely come into consideration?

Why should our shirt be cheaper than a premiership shirt? It's the same manufacturer and out of the same catalogue.

So £7.50 is too dear for a school Polo shirt but £42.50 is fine for a Pools shirt.

True, but I'd love to see the costings from manufacture to point of sale.

£42.50 doesn't seem bad to me, I don't want one so they could be £4.25 or £425 and it wouldn't affect me, but as far as I remember even when I was a kid footy shirts were £30-40 the level of the club shouldn't dictate the price that will be set by the shirt makers.

The RRP of this

Not that expensive but surely there are cheaper ways to advertise to the world you're a moron.

True, but I'd love to see the costings from manufacture to point of sale.

It's easy.

Materials: £1.50 (they are top quality after all).
Cost of 8-year old Indonesian kid to put them together: £0.05
Shipping: £0.25
Marketing: £1.00
Nike flash made from Kevlar on the surface of the moon: £30.00
Customisation: £0.75
The rest: HUFC profit

Hey Compo its £37.50 for the "XL" boys maybe you'd need one of these? PS from what I see most of the price thing is due to having the swoosh (mnoty u beat me to it!) on the front although isf you are buying a full kit for the young un buy the socks of the internet and save a few snots

Apparently a shirt actually costs between £2 and £4 to produce.

Never underestimate the average fans need to get the maximum return for the minimum outlay.

Everyone knows footy shirts are massivly over priced, but arent all clothes massivly over priced?

You think them £50 trainers/shoes didnt cost pennies to make? Course they did.

In protest at the cost of clothing im going to be naked from now on.

Might look good on the catwalk but people will still goz on the front of it and piss up the back of it in the street. Steve Staunton would be a keen hoiker.
