Assume we will be using Holden and hoping he can do a job as a regular, and spending what budget we do have on some pace in midfield

We need competition at left back, Holden has far too many rough edges to be our out and out first choice left back.

Aye, if only we could find a former top level full back to coach him and smooth those rough edges out eh?

Austin is more than capable of playing left back and If the Adam Reach rumour is true, he can play there too.

We let Horwood go and keep Austin, Collins and Monkhouse. Says it all really. Its about time Bodgecroft or his yes man said on whose say-so those three musketeers were given contract extensions instead of foisting them on the new management duo.

So we have plenty of left backs, but no strikers worthy of the shirt?? Cooper out!

Holdens looked very average when I've seen him, like a nervous kid plucked from the crowd n thrown straight in.

He's alright going forward and has a good leg peg, plus he can chuck it miles but he's defensively shocking. Never get's close to people, doesn't tackle, get's caught out of position.

I hope Cooper is a good coach.

I liked when he got rave reviews against brentford because he made one run.

His left peg is average.

He had the ball at his feet against bury n he just kicked it out of play... Twice. Claiming he couldn't hear, what the fuck he needed to hear I don't know, just pick your head up n look ffs.

Horwood OK at going forward but pants as a defender. I'll never forget the guy Campbell Ryce who tortured him at the Vic last year. It was quite embarrassing. Think his brother Bryn (played for the Smallcrafts I think on a Sunday morning) is actually a better player - harder and more competitive having played against him a few times.

I've played against Bryn a few times as well and yes he's a good player but I think there is a reason why Evan is where he is and Bryn is where he is...

Let's face it Horwood will be no great loss. Very poor defensively but I admit OK at going forward. Holden will be a better option. Quicker, better in the tackle and as good as Horwood at going forward.

For a midfielder, did he have one shot at goal tonight??. As a young girl I used to watch my Dad in local league football and as a midfielder he had several shots and got a few goals. Walton - along with many others - is simply not up to it - but I'm only a woman so who am I to judge.

bryn probably never made it very far in football as he was playing girls football and being a man he couldnt go that far.

Not actually played against him personally but watched him from the touchline when following my Dad's team. In essence we have played against him and I rate Bryn much more than Evan - think he will struggle at Tranny but if he proves me wrong will take my shirt off to him.
