So far the OS and the Mail don't have any reports or quotes from KH and RG rearding Cooper and Hignett. No, "we've wanted Cooper all along. Should have appointed him not Hughes" etc.

Hang on a minute! Conspiracy theory alert! You don't think Cooper was lined up back in November, therefore regardless of what Hughes did he was never going to be the manager come the start of the next season. May be this report in the Mail suggests Cooper has been the man all along.

If Cooper and Hignett have been working behind the scenes to get loans in to "freshen" things up then they must have had some involvement in the who was released and retained.

I don't think I can handle any more conspiracy theories at the minute. Unless you've a definite sighting of, say, a bloke in a feathered hat secretly lighting roman candles in suspicious circumstances, I say let 'em all get away with it.

Why wouldn't Cooper have just got the job back in November if he's who they wanted?

Did the whole Phil Brown thing not happen like?

Think you may have missed this bit

The 46-year-old was officially confirmed as the successor to John Hughes yesterday afternoon.

Unofficially, however, Cooper has been working behind the scenes having known the job was his since early last week,

So he was told last week jobs his and it appears he's very professional and started to look around/contact his contacts within the game

I'm as confident as I can be that we will see the squad Cooper wants by August.

You really are spending too much time with Grassy Knollington.

You can never be too paranoid Snowy. When everything seems to be going well is exactly the right time for them to hatch a plot. My sauces tell me that within the next two weeks the club is almost certain to be sold to a Kuwaiti oil magnate who will tow the Vic out to the Gulf before being told that franchising across continents isn't allowed at which point he'll blow the place up and write it off as a tax loss. Its called random cash death spunking and is very common in the oil business. Don't tell anyone I told you though. I'll PM you with some other mad stuff soon.

Well between you and me, I saw comrade ken stroking his moggy and supervising a delivery at midnight of a giant electronic wall mounted map of the world, a Bond style giant volcano with monorail and sliding roof, two nuclear submarines, a busload of men in white lab coats with clip boards and loads of blokes in orange boiler suits with guns....oh and not forgetting the maxiburn laser bed( with eco friendly features)...... but again, tell no one  ...
