Now we are down who would people want us to build the team around from the current cra..crop?

I think it is obvious that some are just not good enough and others have gone stale, so I would get shot of Austin, Collins, Monkhouse, Sweeney and Howard at least. Also assuming Finders is off (nobody will begrudge him that)

GK - get an experienced keeper at the arse end of his career for a season and bring the two young ones through
RB - new signing needed
LB Horwood - if we keep hold
CB Hartley
CB Baldwin - if we keep hold
CM Walton
CM Need a good attacking mid who can unlock defences
RM Franks - be quality at that level
LM - new signing needed
FW Luke James (if we keep hold)
FW - decent 'poacher' needed

Easier said than done I know...but I think that league two is certainly not a great league so if the right shrewd signings are made and we manage to keep hold of our best young talent then we may, MAY have some cause for optimism come august.

As you say all depends on whether the likes of Flinders and Baldwin stay. Also depends on the formation. I would keep Baldwin in midfield though, he'd be wasted at centre back. Agree with the rest though.

It is hard to say really until the the retained list and contracts are sorted out. I would like to think poole got a chance as well. The lad is fairly decent and has scored a couple when he is played up front. However he needs to play in the middle because out wide he is ineffective.

After watching Baldwin perform so well In midfield I'm surprised anyone would prefer him in defence

I think Austin will stay, he'll be ok at league 2 level you'd assume.

I think Collins will get 1 more year.

Humphreys same deal as this year, which is just plain fuckin daft as it appears he's just as useless at coaching as he is at playing.

Unless there is a substantial change in personnel, I can see us flirting with relegation next season.

I think Balders is quality in midfield but....I don't think him and Walton would provide enough of an attacking threat.

Also I think at CB he would fit into Yogi's philosophy of passing it out from the back which is also why I think Collins will be on his way.
