would took point before kick off and got one so have to say happy. Flinders got us it with 3 absolutely world class saves within a 2 minutes period of pressure from them that had their fans applauding him. Collins made one mistake all afternoon and as is the case with Pools it resulted in their goal. I honestly don't know what he was trying to do as he tried to direct a headed pass some 10 yards from a defensive clearance from a Pools free kick which went straight to one them and they hit us on breakaway with defenders forward for the free kick. We hung in though and after some pressure in the second half got the goal through Monkey and did he celebrate. He does love a goal down at Swindon. All players put in decent shift in my opinion and I dont normally give marks so wont but will mention. Flinders as already mentioned Collins Wyke who held ball up better than Howard has all season. Humphreys lovely ball into box for goal and Walton again not as good as last week but urging his team mates on and hear end when Flinders booked for time wasting getting into them to get on with it and and not to lose what we had gained. Most know I believed he was decent signing and future captain he is starting to show what I thought. I hope those who were quick to castigate him just take one game at time and see what at the moment he is offering. He may have a poor game again but so can anyone thats why they playing in Division 3. We're worse off than before kick Off but the next 3 games are winnable may be better to se how we stand after those games. We may go down but at least there's more hope than there was.

Swindon fans are quite complimentary about us.. Stating we tried to pass the ball about while they played hoofball.

"Fair play to Hartlepool for keep it on the deck and play some nice stuff. The boy Walton was pinging long accurate passes all game"

Or very similar appears a few times on their boards

I love reading stuff like this. It's much better than platitudes after getting stuffed.

Quote:
Cannot agree that we totally dominated the match, I thought only one team played football in the second half and it wasn't the team in red. We very quickly ran out of ideas and just kept tossing long balls up into the front two, who came up against a decent centre-back pairing. Their goal came because of the business of pulling 11 men back into the box to defend every corner, we have no out ball, we are immediately under pressure, the ball gets lumped back in every time, a couple of bounces, a deflection and that c**t Monkhouse scores against again - and he hadn't been on the pitch very long either!! Lovely goal by Ferry, well worked with Thompson and Roberts.

One of those days. If it wasn't for Flinders making a couple of world class saves we would have gone on the win by 4 or 5. Everyone was pretty average with the exception of Thompson was by far and away our best player, there are signs of a decent understanding with Roberts.

Fair play to Hartlepool for keep it on the deck and play some nice stuff. The boy Walton was pinging long accurate passes all game

Our goal was almost orgasmic

Enjoyed todays match, the couple of saves from Fliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinders were the turning point.....Pools deserved a point and there football put a lot of bigger clubs to shame.
A big pat on the back for Fllint who is a very able deputy and gets on with basics.

Another good point with results going our way.

I like the way on there the ref gets some of the blame, and everything is what Pools players did, Flinders time wasting...Collins should been red not yellow, yet not a thing about the red card one there players should have had when he wiped a Pools player out (I forget who) right in front of the dug outs and you just know if it had been a Pools player Di Canio and rest of their dug out would been on pitch, the fans would went up as one and we'd have been down to 10. Yet there player stays down feigning injury and conning the referee into doing nothing.
