Ex-Poolie John Daly scores again for Dundee Utd making it 10 in 23 this season (career total 108 goals in 395 games) He's 30 years old on 8th Jan. If he could, should Yogi sign him?

Highly doubt he would want to come back here.

His reputation is built from one extraordinary week when he scored about 20 goals and the play-off final. If you discount that, his goal ratio was nothing special.

At the end of the day, he will only return if he was part of Jedward's clique during that era.

Daly was constantly slagged off by the helpful abusers, y'now the sort, once they get their teeth into a player they never change their limited minds til the player leaves the club.

I say yes because

1) He's been before so he knows the set up
2) He knows Yogi professionally from playing against his teams
3) He knows were the back of the net is, especially penners
4) He is stronger than when with us before and can play the target man role
5) He is only just turning 30
6) It would be the right time for him to chance his arm in England again.

Is he out of contract??

If not he won't be free so out of our league

On a side note if he's only 30 hes way too young for us, maybe well get him back around 2020 when Howard retires

Please forgive me if I don't get too excited about him scoring a penalty in a 3-4 home defeat to St Mirren.

Watch the first minute of this and it tells you all you know about Jon Daly's scoring record in Scotland:

I never booed Daly, but you cannot deny that he was too inconsistent to lead the line. The difference in quality between Barker and Daly was staggering, and that is why the latter has spent most of his career in Scotland scoring goals against Mickey Mouse clubs.

Did you see the second? He reminded me of his lethargic self when he played for us, luckily a defender kicked the ball off him and it went in.

I wouldn't know if you booed him or not, but plenty did soon after he arrived and never let up
His ability was never the point of contention to me, crap or not, it's the mindset that some people have that they just have to constantly chew players who don't measure upto their odd standards.

I got alot of people banging their gums

Despite they wonderful win, to be repeat tomorrow, there is always the chance that some players could be going out on loan to give Yogi the oppotion to bring in a player or two. These will could be from Scotland so the likes of Daly are a possibility. Any other suggestions?

The likes of daly are not a possibility, he's club captain and scoring goals, be realistic.

They won't wanna give him away n we have no money.

I'm all for debates about players coming in but I can't see us spending money, so I think you need to down grade your targets slightly.

Never anything special for us when he was playing IMO. Went through a spell of scoring a few but I'll never forget his Cardiff goal.

Couldn't see him wanting to come back at all though
