We're bottom, looked like we couldn't have bought a win from a betting syndicate.

They're top and began 37 points above us. Bookies had us at between 8 and 10/1 to win.

Our best performance of the season was at home to Sheffield United, and reports say we were shocking on Boxing Day. So if we are ever going to break this dire run today would be the day.

it would surpass the Stoke and Carlisle wins easily. Not that it's over by any stretch yet, obviously......

Much as this victory is welcome, lets not get carried away. we're still a dozen points adrift. I hope that it doesn't paper over the cracks but it's still a great achievement.

We're still going down but more days like this will maybe make the whole inevitable relegation a lot more bearable.

Or a bit of a sad unnecessary dig when we might finally win a match (don't blame me though if we blow it now).

As pleasing as this (potentially) is, it makes you wonder what the hells been going on for the other 23 games.

Must be a bit of a fluke but we've played well by the sounds of it and it has to boost confidence. We might be able to go down fighting.

No such thing as a fluke. It's 11 men against 11 men on the day and may the best win.

So then, another 22 games like that and we'll be wondering what the fuss was all about.

I wonder how many other teams have ever increased their points total by 33% in a single game with half the season already gone.
