Top marks to the Wedding Present fans here. George Best is an ultimate "must have" album.

This week I are mostly listening to this:

all these fellas with acoustic guitars in the charts these days would do well being inspired john martyn rather than crap like james blunt. it's a glorious album.

'may you never' cropped up at the end of that 'skins' programme last week - totally out of place but lovely to hear it. that and 'over the hill' are the stand-out tracks for me

(edit - bastard, why didnt that work? Cover from Luke Haines is Dead album)
Oasis massive whilst most people dont know The Auteurs; a crime in my opinion. Treble CD including Auteurs stuff and solo Luke Haines stuff. Haines should be a british institution.

Agree about Aloha, Steve and Danno track off Aussie Punk album, but they should have been sued from makers of Hawai Five 0 for nicking that guitar solo. Television Adict by Victims my fave off that one.

the hook line from that Chicory Tip song forms the basis of a footy chant, I'm sure of it. Can't quite place it though.

The latest Fall offering. Not their best, but still some good stuff mixed with some self indulgence on the part of Mark E. I like track 5 for the humorous take off of Captain Beefheart. The late Mr Ravenscroft would have liked that one.

Must agree with MJ - it is definately a grower, I too was not impressed on first play but as it was the Fall carried on playing it. I wonder how many other bands I would like if I'd persevered with them but didn't give them a chance. I guess I'll never know.

I've recently taken on A Renewed Interest In Happiness by The Frank and Walters and I have to say it's an absolute peach. How this band never made it into the mainstream is beyond all belief.

I used to do a cover of Friday Night, Saturday Morning when I used to be in my old band Mr Dog.

We were crap though. Quality song! I love The Specials
