Would a 16 year old have been in goal for the first game of the season if both Flinders and Rafferty were injured I would think not as dispensation would have been asked for to bring in a keeper on loan.

Why the fuck would we need "dispensation" to bring a keeper in on loan for the first game of the season?

Just put that wrong

oh come on Mark, your twisting things there.

Collins complained about Hopes report. The only person 'partying' and talking about it on twitter was Howard and Hopes report doesn't slag Howard off at all, neither does Howard complain about Hopes report.

As for Collins airing his grievances on a public forum, I like it. all this bullshit about not being able to speak their mind because they are a pro footballer is ridiculous.

Can you imagine people trying to tell Brian Clough not to say exactly what he thinks?

I've got no problem with the players having a voice but the way Collins put it across was embarrassing. Bitching on about the effort the players have been putting in (which has never been questioned), how people who haven't played at their level could dare criticise their performance and then writing '#ffs' stunk of unproffesionalism from the club captain in my opinion.

The worst comment of the lot had to be 'I see how hard they work day in day out and what they sacrifice to do well for hufc '. Sacrifice? WTF? I'm utterly intrigued by that comment. It really must be such a hard life for these footballers these days. :roll:

Sacrifice :laugh: I would gladly give up my two jobs to be able to run about for four hours a day then just go and play golf and have a nice "working holiday" in Holland. The only sacrifice is to not drink loads (or if having a drink stick to spirits) and just stay off the pies, sadly something Fatty Luscombe cant do.

I hate twitter, feel as though people say things they regret later.

Sam Collins seems like a genuinely decent bloke, one of the good guys with his feet onthe ground, but in my opinion he should shut up on twitter and concentrate on his job.

craig hope talks a lot of sense whenever i have listened. he's a newcastle supporter i believe and has no direct link to the club so he doesn't have to try to put a positive spin on everything.

Ken's programme note made me smile;

The Mail is shit. Craig Hope is shit. If you want the truth read the official site. Thats like Pravda telliing you that the New York Times can't be trusted to report unbiased news.
