We are on 88 points now & are PROMOTED another 4 points guarantees the title.
Our maximum is 94

Woulda been nice to see Walsall & Swindon drop points Chip but the important result was last night & we got what we wanted there.

Because they're Accrington and it's another example of them being above themselves. Their ground/team isn't good enough for League Two, and they're certainly not good enough for Walsall.

Shrewsbury are now out of the equation & Swindon have dropped another 2 points.
Lincoln & Stockport play each other on saturday,the best result would be a Stockport victory as we only need a point to eliminate them anyway.

Three straight wins would be nice.
I'm going to Wycombe and I would just love to be celebrating an automatic spot as I drive home.
I'm sure you boys will be happy sealing top spot at the Vic

Walsall have a potential banana skin on Saturday at Torquay, but should beat Hereford on Monday. MK should beat Grimsby at home. Lincoln & Stockport looks like a nailed on draw. We of course have to beat Barnet, which would only leave MK able to catch us of the chasing pack. They have a tricky game at Shrewsbury on Monday, but seem to specialise in draws of late, I reckon come Monday the points will be:-

Pools 87
Walsall 82
Swindon 77
MK Dons 76
Lincoln 71
Stockport 67

If we win both games over the weekend we will have 87, 11 points clear of 4th with 4 games to go, so I think we will have to wait a litle longer to be certain, sorry like banghead

You need to amend that table for number of reasons

Walsall and Swindon cant get maximum points they play each other on last day of season.

Stockport at home to MK on 21st. so they cant get maximum points either.

Now working on 10 pts to guarentee promotion we have Mk beating Stockport,meaning Stockport can only get 78 pts (they out of equation),if Stockport beat MK then Mk max pts is 90 still in contention and Pools still needing 10 pts,probably 9 as we have 13 goals on them and if get 9 pts that increase to minimum of 16 meaning MK have to make up 17 goals in 5 games.

BUT

If Walsall win at Swindon number of points required for title remain the same.But Swindon's maximum number of points drop to 89 therfore the 9 pts required to beat MK is adequate to beat Swindon. And if Swindon lose to Walsall there GD goes down at least 1 more goal so +16 .11 behind Pools' so 8 pts from last 6 games may well be enough to finish above them.If Pools win 2 games GD improves over them by at least 2 more so +18 but still not enough pts to be certain finishing above them

So the amendment to the original post is as follows(god I hope I worked it out right)

9 pts definetely wins Promotion....14 points wins title.

I did say in the initial post that it was impossible for everyone to take maximum points & that teams would drop points,but as it stands 10 & 14 are the points needed to CONFIRM promotion & the title.
If MK win every game & Swindon get points out of Walsall they will all have 90 or more points which means 91 guarantees us a top 3 place.
Of course these points will change with every game & Stockort will likely be out of it come Saturday,possibly Lincoln too.

I think the results against Torquay and Hereford will determine if we still have a chance of the title against Swindon on the last game......the 'others' seem woefully inconsistent at the moment. Barnet will not be an easy game for you and I'll think you'll draw. If we win at Plainmoor the title is blown wide open again, but first we have to win.......

Chances are both us & Walsall will be promoted at the weekend.
