It was interesting to see the picture in the Hartlepool mail tonight, Cooper has fists clenched and looks like he is about to knock the living crap out of someone. Barron has arms outstretched probably appealing to the 4th offical for something.
This is becoming a regular sight with Barron, although i suppose thankfully he isnt pointing to the sky. !!!!
My only hope is that Barron was asking if we could use all the subs without taking anyone off !!!!!
My hope is that Mr Cooper and the board realise that the club need some coaches !! Quickly if possible

Non of us know how good or bad Barron or Humps are as coaches. I've never witnessed them take training and I doubt anyone else on here has. What they certainly lack is experience, what we lack on the whole back room team is experience. Ironically a great addition to the current set up for me would be someone like Mick Wadsworth!

I've always said that, I would have loved Mick to still be part of the club

Didn't know Colin West was there. I can also remember him getting plenty of grief on the boards when he was assistant to turner.
Must be doing something right there!

I think it says it all that players and coaches often do better when they move away from us.

Not always, obviously.

But there does seem a high percentage that have much greater success, within context, when they have removed themselves from the club.

Interesting that.

it's hard to dismiss the notion that there are restraining factors at Pools not present elsewhere..... especially considering some of the other clubs don't have the investm, ent Pools have from their respective owners... yet strangely their teams look so much better than us on the pitch!!

Mick Wadsworth proceeded over the worst run of home defeats in this clubs history, suddenly he's a good coach and should be working under Neale Cooper. I don't get it.

Beacuse MW always said he wanted to be just that a coach not a manager. The coaches do the work on traning ground and a manager motivates player etc which is what Cooper is good at. Like Taylor and Clough.

So I'm supposed to believe that Mick Wadsworth was a coaching genius and on the training pitch his HUFC side were second to none. But then when it came to match day he didn't have a clue what to say in the changing rooms and it all went to shit. sctatchinghead

Mick Wadsworth got the boot because of 7 consecutive home defeats. He also reached the point where he admitted that he didn't know what to do to turn things around. Mick always came over on the radio as a nice fella, honest as the day is long.

But - I'm not sure even a Fergie or a Mourinho would keep the job on the back of a run like that, and they have a lot more credit in the bank with their Board and fans than Mick ever had. Certain people - ok, Fireball - will argue to the far end of a fart about away form, league tables and stuff, but it's simple. Losing at home in front of your Board and fans week after week will get you the sack. And I've never read or heard a word from the man himself that suggests he thinks he was treated unfairly.
