I've played them a few times, won a bit and lost a bit but they are a bookies dream. I've seen people stick what must be £400-£500 - reloading them with note after note and literally getting bot all. I know that bad runs can happen at the casino but from what I've seen the machines are ridiculous.....

They are a complete mugs game like, I once watched a mate lose nearly a grand on the Roulette in a about half an hour. Most of his money was centred around one number that obviously never dropped in while he squandered most of his months wages. After he admitted defeat I said I'll show you how rigged these machines are. I put a quid on his number and it dropped straight in first press. Funny that.

They should be illegal, no wonder people end with gambling problems chasing cash lost in minutes.

I'm sure the government are looking at changing the law regarding the number of machines a bookies can have in its shop. I think it's now limited to 4 per shop but this law is apparently going to be relaxed to allow more.
It's also a fact bookies cluster in deprived areas, places where rents are low and people are vulnerable with what little cash they have.
The lot should be foooking banned. It's a disease where there's very few winners and from what I've been told as addictive as a shot of smack!!

All gamblers are addictive. I'll openly admit I love a bet. When them machines 1st come out i lost a fortune, it's just way too easy to lose vast amounts in a short space of time. Saying that a suppose horses and dogs are just the same. All fixed to Fuck and high risk if your going to spend an afternoon in the bookies. I spend far more on football these days than horses. When my current job ends and if they Dont get more work I'll Be looking at trading to make ends meet like. Played poker last time for a sponsor but was sit n gos and the occasional torny and although it paid my bills i didn't enjoy it. Put shitloads of hours in but was extremely frustrating especially in top 4 at end when it just turns into a crapshoot. He had his mtt players and that was that. Trading looks a sound business if you lay sensibly

I wasn't thinking of doing it on the high street, was thinking firms like paddy power and 365 who offer best odds guaranteed (just in case) and then lay them back on betfair??
