How did you get on?

Looking on FA site intotheblue 3-3 hillcarter

Our game was called off friday, staincliffe dont have enough players registered or summit, bit worrying for the season ahead for them.

The worst part is even if the game was gunna be on it was off as the bloody grass on greyfields was too long, pathetic, 3 games called off cos of it.

Yeah at the last meeting staincliffe only had 11 players registered. That's embarrassing like about the grass, sureley they should have known season starts today

Yeah drew 3-3 mate. We were 3-0 up after 30 minutes and absolutely pasted them for the next 35 minutes and missed chance after chance after chance, then a couple of injuries including the keeper changed the game completely and we conceded 3 goals in 8 minutes and in the end just held on. A fair scoreline would have been about 12-3 but it wasn't and the main thing is we didn't get beat. Once we are at full strength i think we'll do ok

I had some scouts on the rec, i was watching on greys, they said hillcarter were a bit young n naive, is that right?

They were a young side like. Not sure about naive, we butchered them and should have had double figures but the stuck at it and got their reward, they also pass it about well but can knock it long when they have to. Not a bad side and will certainly give every side they play a good game but we just suffered a mad 15 minutes when we had a couple of knocks in key areas and it worked against us big style.

Pitches at the rec were shocking as well. Cut grass not moved and the lines in places were very pale.

Apparently they painted the lines on the Rec at the beginning of the week, then the next day they came round and cut the grass and covered them!

They were going to leave all the cut grass on the Enclosure prior to last Wednesdays game on there - luckily someone saw them before they left and they went round with some machine which picked it all up within about 10 minutes. They can do a decent job when they are pushed into it but only when they have to by the look of it...

Who did you lot get in the Sunday cup then?

We have Bishop Auchland Cricket club away! I'm a decent spinbowler like so hopefully we should do ok
