will need to be altered from its present 80,000 capacity to be practical for future use. THAT IS A GIVEN but are we really facing the prospect that the stadium that has seen the best atheletes in the the world is going to be torn up and converted into a stadium for ONLY football. We are trying to get people of all ages to get involved in sport therefore should we be bowing down to the EVIL that top level football is and handing over such an inspirational facilitiy to a football club which already has a perfectly usuable ground. Man City took the p@ss out of the common wealth games when they got the stadium for bugger all. Why should a bunch of cockneys get the stadiunm that Bolt became a legend in for fook all. We are a country of 60 millliom and I'd pay for its upkeep to inspire the next generation. FOOTBALL ISN'T THE BE ALL AND END ALL!

Yes and before some foockwit asks I will be starting a petition!

Nothing will happen too soon as London won the bid to host the 2017 Athletic World Championships

Plus the main stumbling block with Spurs bid for it was the the running track had to stay.

Also it was built and designed in relative terms, fairly cheaply, so it could be easily dismantled and redesigned. Whatever the legacy of these Olympics I don't think the demand will ever exist for an 80,000 capacity athletics stadium in London.

There has been quite a demand for it over the last fortnight! Cameron wants us to have an Olympics every year, why not!!

Doesn't spurs have planning permission for a redeveloped white hart lane. They bought all business houses and small shops around it to level and build it in two segments.
