apparantly 7 of Waltons goal last year were penalties....so don't go expecting a goalscoring midfielder just because he was top scorer at plymouth

????

My point is most of his goals were not from open play, so don't expect that.....Super Stevie Howerd will be crashing the penalties in anyway

Nobody has ever expected Walton to be a goal getter. You're just looking for things that don't exist to be miserable about.

People were quoting him as Plymouths top scorer, I was just providing context to that quote, how is that being miserable?

I haven't been negative about Walton at all...he starts with a clan slate and I hope he is a success.
However what I won't do is divorce myself from reality.
EG the Plymouth fans reactions to him leaving......they seem mixed...that doesn't tell us a lot, but to embrace all positives as facts and dismiss all negatives as sour grapes just defies common sense.

Howerd--I have said has the potential to be a good signing--more positive than what a lot of people have written about him.

Sometimes I do worry about the worst as a way of protecting myself from it happening I know.....but mindless none fact based positivity helps no one!

Plymouth fans' man gripe about Walton seemed to be that he was the last of their championship wage earners to be on their wage bill and him leaving could mean a couple of decent league 2 players being brought in. I'm just happy Cooper has overhauled our midfield. That's been our main problem, a lack of pace and creativity in the centre. Personally speaking, im not too concerned with Howard either way. If we can get our service right, Noble would be enough for me on loan and even without, i'd be happy to give James and Poole a shout, because they,ve both got pace and with the right ball played to feet could cause anyone problems.

Don't know anything about this lad really but it's pleasing to see us getting someone young and on the up rather than a failed kid or older stalwart. Exacty the type of players we need to be looking at, looking forward to seein him in action.
