Sorry peeps but I think the plan as a whole is a million miles away.

I would prefer for pools to get their development sorted and stay away from all the red tape that will surround all the other ventures that i personally think are pipe dreams.

Sorry for being negative just felt like it will never happen when I came away tonight......unlike the last meeting at the Mill house when I left absolutely buzzing.

I will continue to support the campaign I'm just disappointed.

A lot of negativity on my table and a lot of people who don't give a fook about Pools....

Each question that was brought about Pools two Gentlemen muttered "You can jump on a bus and watch real Football only half an hour up the road!"

Did not want to post this on here but this is why the Campaign forum is available there was more but all negative. Just feel IOR have fought long & hard enough to get this far and to start getting embroilled in other peoples red tape battles with locals councilllors other activities that can be brought into the Masterplan it just seemed last night to me I will not be here to see it happen and I'm 38.

I won't give up on this Campaign it's A fantastic plan that should backed to the hilt however in this town with the powers to be and the down monger folk....I'm not convinced......I just feel we will be talking about this in 15 years time :(

On the table I was on their was a lot of negativity before presentation, however the presentations changed that view as they didn't realise the scale of development. We are never going to please or convert everyone, but need to keep pushing this.

I left more confident than when I turned up !

I fully intended having a look in tonight but work got in the way once again.

MadJohn...Get yourself to the next meeting mate it's a fantastic Plan & I'm sure like me you will be blown away....

I'm not knocking the plan one bit I'm just being a little selfish on Pools part that’s all.....I just don’t see how it will speed up IOR intentions I think it will actually lengthen them!

By the way I'm not so pig ignorant that I don’t want the Bowls Club & Mill House Leisure Centre & surrounding area to have new World facilities ….Of Course I do it will be fantastic…But that member from the Council last night gave me no confidence at all.
It came across to me that NOTHING was decided and they have yet to even commence discussion internally….Also he did not know where the money was coming from other than [Grants] so I felt it was back to square 1 [Huge time factor] with Pools firmly cemented within the above.

On the evidence that came from the councillor last night……………I just think it’s helping/contributing to the council’s little game of greatly dragging their feet [again].

The way I see it is :

Pools have the new stand ready to go…….A very informed Bunkerite told us it would take a matter of weeks to erect….Selfishly can we not get this done & incorporate the remainder of the plan with everything else thereafter …at least the club can generate more revenue this way and it’s a start.

I saw first-hand last night & it may of only been muttered under their breath but some of the Hartlepool folk in this town really don’t give a fook about Pools…It boiled my pi$$ to be honest…I know not everyone has to like football but show me another Business that generates 5.7 Million a year in this town for that alone they should be thankful.

Totally agree with the above clappp .......Anyone who knows me.... I hammer Twatter & Crankbook with positives about this plan, along with my ward councillors [3 of]......with 2 still to reply!

You wont find any negative issues with ref to the plan from me........ other than on this Campaign board " I just speak how I see it on here" & I think that is why this board was created so all sides can be disscussed as seen by Pools fans......out of the peering eye....

I wont even air my comment's on the main board...Just here

You did well to remain calm... assuming those gents didn't end up leaving via the nearest window ;)

That's something I've known for a long time and struggle to understand. The utter apathy of the majority of folk in the town towards it's club is beyond pathetic, I can understand people who don't like football not wanting to go, but I can't understand people knocking the club repeatedly because they don't like football or they don't like HUFC due to their need to support a big club.

Mind some of them will go out of their way to run anything that happens in the town down.

As for the comment about the £5,000,000 funding hole it isn't as big a hole as you would think, if the club generates more than that for the town now, with the development they'll offer more and I'm sure that securing financing for such a project won't be hard if the pieces such as land ownership and a solid business plan are in place and I'm sure the business men at the club are more than aware of this fact.

Good feed back Mr Hanger but that meeting last night got me buzzing again to carry on the campaign to get that whole area done.
some great points were made last night and it was great to see the rep for HBC there as well as 2 coucillors and a jnr minister from the government.
We are moving forward might not be as quick as some people would like but we are making progress and as Mr hanger says HUFC have had this long going battle to get the ground and its wearing them down
so that meeting last night might be the the point to get it all going again.

It's not impossible that the opposition had some spoilers in place last night.

I would just hate the club to be dragged through another 2,3,4,5 year of red Tape....will IOR still be here then?
