.....which doesn't take a lot, admittedly but EUFA are handing out fines like confetti, Russia have so far got four, which total a six figure sum for their supporters chucking fireworks and displaying inappropriate banners, and Croatia aren't that far behind either. Nicklas Bendtner got fined 80G for flashing his doggers which had the name on a non-sponsor on 'em. That's the biggest fine so far. Now if a banner says 'Blatter is a 'lovely lovely person'' in Russian I haven't got a Scooby. Nor has nine tenths of the world. If Bendtners keks say 'drink Coke' I'm not heading for the fridge.

EUFA are fining the national associations, but how much can they do about it when they're off their own territory?? There was one fine of 7G for a one man attempted pitch invasion but surely it's down to stadium security to attend to all that.

I can see that what they're attempting to do is deter the fans from kicking off but it's doomed to fail because for 8 months of the year these bods are club supporters and don't even think about the National team until it comes to a competition like the Euros and it's just a party for them. They're largely remote from their national association and pretty much like ours, the national association royally shits on them until a major competition comes along. This is just another opportunity to hoard some cash while being self-righteous.
