Joking apart I think Locomotive Darlington is a cracking name.

What I don't understand is that if the FA say Darlington FC no longer exists, how can they be relegated? Surely a new club has to start at the very bottom of the pyramid, which as far as I can make out is Northern Alliance Division Two (another three tiers down where their illustrious opponents would include Cullercoats Custom Planet, Red House Farm, and Wallsend Boys Club). I'm not saying they should, but can someone explain the contradiction to me?

They should start in the Wearside League. We would have derby days to look forward to again with Darlo having games against Hartlepool FC and Seaton Carew!

Ah. Clang. Sound of penny dropping.

Hil (1) ar (2) i (3) ous (4).

You don't know what hilarious means do you??

OK. Hilarious is when some some dope who's team just got royally fucked all over, even by it's own rescue committee, comes on a message board and tries to wind up their former rivals who are looking forward to clashes with such recent premiership clubs such as Coventry, Portsmouth and Sheffield United when their own shambles, sorry team, are opening their season against, errr.....errr....

Just stick with dope. It's only got one syllable. You'll be alright with that.

Nah a bunker rule is that if you have new information regarding a topic that already has 6+ threads you have to start a new one

Lokomotive Darlington- my arse.

Tindale Timewasters just about sums them up. They're apparently "Gobsmacked" that they lost their appeal. Thick shytes. The FA had no choice.
I hear the Gers are trying to take over 1883 or whatever the fook they're called & name it County Durham Rangers as a way of re-forming & joining the English League.

Good to see Bury have told the Gers to welcome to the board. The Northern League should do the same with 1883. Stick them in the Teesside Alliance.

How 1883 can try & keep the name Darlington when Darlington RA have a presence in the town & a long NL history is insulting to RA.
Surely 1883 should combine their resources with RA & move on from there but no we're talking Loidland so common sense is out the window.

CFC Darlington..Why would they want to call themselves chlorofluorocarbon Darlington.

According to safety data, CFCs are colourless, volatile, toxic liquids and gases with a sweet ethereal odour. Overexposure at concentrations of 10% or more may cause dizziness, loss of concentration, central nervous system depression

Right now I can see why they might want to be called CFC Darlington the effects seem to affect 95% of their fans

But the RA don't want to be associated with them, they think they have a better chance of climbing the leagues on their own, thank you!

The thing about this is the fact they are now supposed to be a "community club" run by the fans, but the board have said that if a new name comes top in the vote that they dont like, then they will over-rule the fans choice & pick a name of their own. So straight away the fans are getting no say unless its the same opinion as the board. I find it hilarious & in time the board will make more & more decisions without asking the fans, but when they need money they will go cap in hand to the fans, saying we are a "community club", give us your money, again !!!

Darlo Uncovered used to be a right laugh a few years ago when they were in Division Four flirting with the play offs and then fukking it up. Now when I go on I just find it depressing.

Every single week things just seem get dafter down the road. The club has gone bust so why are they trying to polish turd and pretend that they haven't....?

As mentioned earlier they could play the Locamotion by Kylie when/if they score
The massed ranks of Loids could clap together like a steam train pulling off and make the chuffing noises
They could have the brick train as their new club badge
Tickets for games could be orange and green and then clipped on entry with one of those hole punches in the shape of a train
Refreshments could be an overpriced cup of tea and a microwaved bacon and egg bap that's still stonecold in the centre
The PA announcer could say "the teams arriving on the pitch at 14:55 are Locamotive Darltington and Jarrow Roofing"
Fans could could dress up as the fat-contoller from Thomas the Tank Engine on the last day of the season
