Billy Dane is still available. Admittedly he isn't young Billy Dane anymore but he hasn't hung up his boots yet.

Brawn is clearly the key to getting out of this division.
...and Hot-shot's record is proven at our level
...and he's Scottish like the boss
...and we could introduce some Royal Stewart tartan into the kit...

Two big lads upfront for Pools wold be brill. Roy Race (bigger than he looks) as the front/target man with Hot Shot Hamish smashing in the knockdowns. Now then....who are their agents?

The chance to dress up as Rod Stewart is clouding your judgement. Look at this from wikipedia-

"Despite his adventures lasting for more than 20 years, Billy remained about 12 or 13 years old throughout the storyline." We could get a couple of decades out of him and still sell him on for a massive fee but you'd rather have the Scottish Steven Howard? Give your sporran a shake.

Play a couple of Poles upfront. It seems to work for Germany!

I'm surprised that people who are advocating fast attackers haven't thought of this potential signing.

Speedy G is a decent call Monty. The only problem that I envisage he could have is if he played on the shoulder of the last defender, running onto balls in the channel, then he would be probs to quick for the linos eye and be flagged offside 'mucho' times.

Great leader on the pitch though and attack minded- Andele, andele, arriba, arriba!!!

Wouldn't play in the Sunderland friendly, he'd do a Nobby if anybody mentioned the opposition being the black cats*.
