I've read a few bunkerites play this in the past and i've just got the handheld version for the iPad. Started with pools last night and i'm very much win 3, lose 5 with a shocking away record. Goals aren't a problem - anyone recommend some good defenders? Particulary to replace Horwood and Austin someone better in the defence.

Pique from Barcelona if you can get him, he's good

If not Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal

Paul Dummett from Newcastle reserves (on loan)
Thomas Cruise (free) both left backs
using Haslam, Collins and existing defence has me 9th in L1 after 39 games (3 points off playoffs)

Kept much of the squad plus Tounkara and Ryan Noble from Sunderland on loan.
First season I have not tinkered that much and doing well

Cheers guys. James did well for me but James Brown knocked in 26. Flinders has been shocking so I got jake kean on loan. He was bobbins too. Finished 12th in first season. Managed to get rid of some deadwood and now rebuilding the defence. Hopeful of the play offs at the least.

Reckon im gunna start a new game on the new update. Old update finished midtable in championship 3rd season. I fancy seeing Luke James turn into a superstar!

Luke James is imense on the update as is Brownie. Tounkara from Sunderland is a cracking loan player. Keep an eye out for Phil George (GK) - not sure who i bought him off. He was 50k and now worth 1.6 million. Only 18 year old too.

Managed to get promoted through the play offs beating Colchester 3-1 at Wembley. The vic has been extended to 10k and i've got Phil Neville playing centre back. currently 6th in the championship - mid november. My social life is over!!

Just started a new season with Pools. Colin Nish got player of the month for August, then James got it for September. So far mid way through October, and a young lad I signed called Kane Ferdinand (from Shrewsbury I think) has scored 6 in 5 from right wing and averaged a rating of 10 in the 5 games he has played.

It's been a very comfortable pregnancy all round, for me anyway, dunno how she's been

It's a great moneysaver. Aside from a wedding last saturday my weekend was spent guiding Pools to the championship with a few beers and one eye on the golf.

I used to lose days playing Championship Manager when i was a teenager so i better learn to walk away from it...only once i've won everything possible with Pools of course.

I used to hammer champ man back in the day but have never really got into one for ages.

I will probably delve into the depts of illegal downloads for it. Looking for a way to keep me in and keep me entertained due to saving for when me house is built.

I think this is my plan this month, I am going away in june so want little apart from the essentials going out. I think it will be £40 well spent but I also need to buy a wirless dongle for my PC.

If you download it through steam it does the updates automatically.

At the moment im mid-table championship pushing for play offs with Pools, sold James for 2 million to Wigan

My main save's up to 2022 and I've spent the last decade and a bit upgrading the fuck out of my youth facilities, recruitment network, junior coaching etc.... As a result I'm not really arsed about my transfer budget, I just play through 'til March to see how many wonderkids are in this years intake, then I've got to play another couple of years to watch them develop.

I've forgotten what outside looks like and have given up all hope of feeling the touch of a woman again...

Just an idea, anyone fancy knocking up a bunker network game? Play Sunday evenings or something, all start in the conference so there's barely any difference between the teams, race to the premiership via promotion or getting new jobs or something like that?

Yeah, it'll automatically update itself in future too, though it's not usually patched after January unless there's something severely wrong with it.

Pretty much the lot of them. You won't be able to shift Poole, Luscombe, Nish, etc. 'til January as they've just arrived.

Play a 4-4-2 with wingers, whack Brown on the wing, get your scouts looking for a decent target man/advanced forward/deep lying forward to play with James up front, get shot of Collins and Hartley and get 3 decent CBs in (2 to play one for cover)

Michael Stewart's a beast in midfield if he's still available, I think the goal machine that is Febian Brandy may be gone.

Anyway, rambling aside just get shot of who you can and get 3 or 4 decent scouts, they'll get you decent replacements for most of the first team and you'll fly it.
