While watching rovers v smallcrafts yesterday morning a gentleman came over to have a chat with another pools fan that i was stood with and this gentleman is rugby fan not a football fan so we asked his thoughts on the ground sale / hand over.
His concern was that the ground could ever be sold off for profit to another party in years to come. he felt that IOR have proved there worth to the town over the years and deserve backing from HBC.
What he did not know and this might be were IOR and the fans should be pushing is the work in the community that the club does courses. youth work. kids football and the disabled run cafe on the ground the public of hartlepool need to know this so keep the campaign rolling people.

Just had a unknown text saying Kev did you know the old ledbitter buildings and municipal buildings on church sq were sold to the art college for 30k that's some land area and buildings for 30k like.

Using that could be counter-productive though. We can't use selling land cheap as an argument in my opinion. Doing so is to say they should have sold it at a larger price , what counter argument can you use if saying the council have sold land cheap then say give Pools land below market price. Your arguing against yourself , if that makes sense.

And the Art college is reported as being one of the partners within the plan to regenerate the whole of the Mill House area, so they'll be putting money into that, maybe money they've saved by buying Leadbitter buildings cheaply.

Not sure if Odeon going to be turned in student accommodation but College of Art and Further Education were on list of possible investors. So could be anywhere within the area that's to be regenerated.

The "artists impression" (or scribbles of a 3 year old more like) of the area in the report that you didn't read looked like the Odeon would be knocked down and student accommodation built there and across the top of Young Street onto where the Co-Op used to be.

I did read it, eventually, just didn't take lot notice of what was going where on the pictures(scribblings) that may change.
