I guess this is as good a place as any to pay my respects to Ronnie Montrose who passed away today. RIP.




He also play guitar on this classic track....not exactly "Very Metal"...but a great song none the less.

Anyone remember when short hair was suddenly all right for heavy metal groups? Might have been Anthrax who started that.

When Nirvana came out no one could decide if it was heavy metal or punk so they called it grunge.

25-minute guitar solos were never a heavy metal thing; they were a blues thing. HM groups who indulge in them are wannabee blues combos.

(Three compeletly unrelated facts.)
