New job ?

Yes.

After saving the business over £7m in two years on a spend of £500k they decided on the 17th Jan that my role was no longer required. They didnt want to make me redundant as......errrr.....I had a case

So off on gardening leave I went. And awaited compromise agreement.

So having spent the whole of feb on the dole.......I have now got a new role, and am better off for it.

Now, the dole, and signing on......and that fooookin godawful job centre. The most depressing, degrading thing I have ever had to do........and get interviewed by a daft lass young enough to be my daughter.....and spending 20 minutes just sat there whilst she tries to find a code that could possibly match my former role. And her then telling me "well done" because I had managed to get an interview

And then the second time I went in, only to be told they needed evidence of my job search and that I needed to be prepared to travel up to an hour by public transport stpid. This after I had just told her I had just come back from an interview in leeds. Daft bint.

And just walking into the place with all of those security guards on the door.........foook me.....very welcoming.

Thats after circumventing all of the rarfs and junkies that mill about outside the place looking and acting very shifty.

But best of all, being told, after 30 years of continuous employment, that I am only entitled to £60 per week on the dole. No wonder people fiddle. I suspect they have to.

Had my eyes opened this past 4 weeks. I feel for anyone out of work and genuinely looking for work, and having to suffer that place. Disgusting place.

As for my previous employer, they really should have treated me more carefully

PS....I can imagine the way they talk to you in that place....the same as everyone else....treat and talk to you just like the Living Dead camped outside with 'their' Ladies Mountain Bikes with a BMX front Wheel....but I imagine they put up with some shite....so I applaud them to!!!! clappp
