as an aside there seemed to be some disharmony within their ranks when the subs were made. Lee Hughes shoulder barged his replacement after his team mate coming on offered his hand. I think there;s more to this than just the result

We sit with Geoff N to the left of the directors box in the Cyril Knowles, and I have to say the Notts County people were not looking happy.
It seemed to me from their body language that they expected to win at a canter, It was probably decided decided that he was on his way before the final whistle.
I won't lose any sleep, he is a grade a tosser!!!
Onwards and upwards.

the little fella, Judge I think, acted the stereotypical petulant child when he went off, he went as far as taking his boots off when he was sat on the bench and throwing them as hard as he could to the floor, it would have been funny if he hit his feet and broke a bone

Very strange decision to sack him so soon after the game and rather unprofessional.
He's not done a bad job at county, plodding along in mid table and I'm sure he's hardly broken the bank with the team he's got.

I've always liked Martin Allen, speaks his mind and is never far from controversy.
The game will be worse off without him!

Surely not Mr Tree?? He was a thug as a player and he demands that his teams act like thugs. If yesterday was different and he put a footballing side out then I stand corrected, but it's not what I'm hearing. sctatchinghead

He's not the only manager to send a team of thugs to the vic.
After all the chew they had pro Eriksson I thought he'd done a canny job there, and to be sacked so soon after the game doesn't exactly show their board in a good light.
Love him or hate him he's a character who in the past has produced teams playing good football.

Aye, well, each to his own like. I never forgave him for the Jack Ross sending off against Brentford in the Cup when he jumped in the air and punched his own palm in celebration.

We all know what happened later.

Definately a team of thugs yesterday, as soon as anyone looked like getting away from them they were chopped down.
