ex-premier league managers - the information that I hear is usually incorrect but one of them was supposed to be Brian Laws. The other possibly Phil Brown but who cares....?

Just watched the press conference and although I thought Neale looked a bit nervous the steely determination shone through - bring on the blades.....

Have to agree with you, he looked very nervous and shell shocked.

Did finish off by saying its the best christmas present ever.

Did look nervous, I mean understandable bit of pressure on his shoulders, sorting the home form out and alot to live up to after his last spell, Im confident though he's still got it and is definitely the right choice!! Roll on the 2nd, full vic and 3 points!

Sounds like we got our cartwheel signing at last.

Remember when 5000 crowds were nothing out of the ordinary in the quite recent past, and without season ticket promotions? Who was in charge again?

It'd be nice to have been a fly on the wall at the first meeting with the players. I'd say actually he's got a better squad than he had last time, potentially at least. He had no full backs to speak of as Hugh wasn't the fastest and couldn't tackle, Matty Robson was erratic and Robbo was, well just Robbo. Barron was injured a lot of the time.

Is Murray Tinks equivalent?? Well he gets good press off a lot of people. Sweens he'll know about to an extent. Is Monky a better winger than Humps was?? Probably. Is Solano a good right winger. Is Nish better than Daly?? Poole better than Taffy??

Interesting times but I think he's got better to work with than before. clappp

Would say the team last time was much better

Up front we had Porter and Boyd, the best partnership in the division, a huge difference to what we have now.

Tinkler in his prime was much better than Murray is now

Nelson and Westwood are much better than Colline and Hartley as a partnership.

One interesting thing though is he did get Sweeney playing in a 4-4-2 !

The squad he left us with was better in most departments.

If he can get players to play to their potential regularly then we have a good team, but one which massively lacks pace.

I thought the pause for Ken Johnson was a nice touch.

Both Russ Green and Neale Cooper are some of the best and kindest blokes you could ever wish to meet.

Good on them!!!
