sitting watching look north in a perfectly good mood. just finished me tea and a couple of cans. there's a distinct chance of a brief fumble with mrs aido.

news switches to a story about a couple living in pennywell or meadowell or somewhere complaining that the benefits they receive (no-one in the household has worked for over ten years apparently) aren't enough for them and their three kids (one more on the way as well) to survive on. Pasty face little 'lovely lovely person' whining that the £480 A WEEK is nowhere near enough and that him and his coffin-faced twat of a wife are faced with difficult decisions as to whether to pay bills or buy food.

bearing in mind that they'll be getting their rent paid for, so that's probably not counted in with the £480 (which will rise to £500 plus) when no-hoper number 4 slides down the chute.

to quote top beat combo 'placebo' : What's wrong with this picture ?

So is the brief fumble out the question now or will we get some sort of up-date tomorrow.

And don't forget the minimum £1,000 per annum council tax they won't have to pay

For what it's worth, I reckon the £480 figure is their total benefit income including housing benefit and council tax benefit and will include child benefit which is offset against some of the other benefits. They won't have anywhere near £480 a week in disposable income.

£480 per week is £24,960, which if they worked for it would be taxable, so IMO I would tax all benefits at the current rate, as they are unearned income. I rent out a property & as its unearned income I get taxed on the income I receive from the property, any benefits should be treated & taxed in the same way.

Best of it is When the euro zone goes into total melt down in another year or two there benefits are nailed on its the tax payer that will get it again.
Big business and members of parliament are knacker deep in Europes gravy train so there will be no change there.

Benefits always get increased with whatever the inflation rate was in the previous September, so next April they will all get 5.5% extra, whereas us workers will get next to nothing or nothing, depending where we all work, as the employers will say they cant afford to give us a rise, but our taxes will all rise to fund these layabouts who breed kids & contribute absolutely nothing to society !!

You should check whether you're entitled to any benefits!
