Does anyone know what any of Pools players from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's are up to now, wether they are still involved in football or have they took up other proffesions since ending their careers.

I was having a conversation yesterday about Steve Tupling and one of the lads said he was last seen working at Samsung about 5 years ago.I just wondered what any of the others were up to.

My best memory of Steve Tupling was against Spurs in the cup at WHL. He realistically gave up trying to out skill Gazza (at his very best) and decided to kick him to death instead.

Aye at Reg Vardy on Blackwell Roundabout.

Tupling was most ungracious in defeat when EMS Girls, featuring Poolie Girl, whupped his teams asses a few years ago, he had a right chufty on, big girls blouse...

i was there that day and poliegirl turned the defender and ran on and scored he came tearing onto the pitch claiming she was offside
he said to the ref you dont know what you are doing
i was a former pro footballer and i know you got it wrong
H U F Cs very own Terry Hughes told him i am a professional ref and sent him off
it was a cup game and whitley bay managed an equaliser so the E M S girls went up there and done the business think it was 0-3 to the poolies

I don't know if this is true, but I heard that Kona Hislop is now friends with Wayne Rooney, after being employed as a driver, driving young Wayne around!

it's in Rooney's book apparently!

That big useless Howard bloke plays for a team down in the midlands somewhere now. The cheery chaps on the Millhouse side were right about him.
