Police chief's vow to get tough on football yobs

POLICE chiefs have vowed to get tough on thugs who incite violence at football matches.
It follows a court order against Lee Fannan, 19, and Gary McKenna, 23, banning them from attending Hartlepool United games for two years.
The pair were part of a gang that formed when Hartlepool played local rivals Darlington on October 28 last year.
They were spotted on several occasions trying to start disorder and were part of a large group intent on causing trouble.
Detective Constable John Stokeld, of Cleveland Police, said police were actively targeting football hooligans.
