Appeared as a sub for Gateshead vs Guiseley on Saturday. Don't know whether he's on trial? but his pass resulted in a goal. Always thought we should never of released him, would og got his chance under Mick Wadsworth, had good skills and potential.

Agree Mr Mullet to a point, but Rowell was far from the finished product when we had him. Will do ok at Conference Level & Ian Bogie at Gateshead will keep his feet on the ground.

His misfortune as far as I'm concerned is that he graduated from the youth team at a time, unlike now, when we had a management team that distrusted youth.

Which therefore begs the question.....

Should we bring him back to the club?

so by that score Tommy Miller would have been written off too, and many other examples of his kind!!!

Johnny Rowell had signed professional terms. Tommy Miller if i can remember was close to being released as a youth team player. I'm not of this opinion that Johnny Rowell was this huge talent who would have been brilliant for us. We've had a good midfield for the past ten years really. The problem youth players have is that we play in a good league. I think we have a manager that is pro youth and will do everything he can to bring them through, but i bet very few will be challenging for a first team spot in 12 months time. We have a very good nucleus of 16 players who are comfortable at this level and can operate there already. I've a good feeling about Jack Baldwin because of the noises coming out of the club about him. But thats just my opinion.

I've enjoyed seeing the 2 full backs Darren Holden and Josh Rowbotham. They have potential.

by the end of this season I expect Poole, Luscombe, Baldwin, and Holden to be regular fist teamers.

Poole & Luscombe will be first team regulars well before the end of the season.

Agree Poole and Baldwin look like good long term signings. Luscombe a bit like Beb Clarke- years at Sunderland and couldn't get into the first team. For us youth is key - Wadsworth knows that and will introduce the young lads when necessary Holden, Rowbotham and Hassan will deffo have their chance.

This is an exciiting time for Pools and I'm proud to be part of it.
