No need to panic, Larkin was unlikely to feature and Brown hasnt played well for 2 seasons.

He had a poor end to last season that's all, before that when he played he always made an impact, our record is certainly better when he starts.

To say he hasn't played well for two seasons just proves what short memories, some (especially ultra negative) football supporters have stpid

Don't the people who seem to have turned on him think the most, gutted, frustrated, and wronged person in all of this is James Brown?? Who if it wasn't for two very serious injuries would be playing Premiership football now??

It was more aimed at Trees ridiculous 'not played well for two seasons comment' Mr Mutley. Which is both unfair and wrong.

You will have to remind me how many minutes it is since he scored. He played loads towards the back end of the season and still they kept saying he aint fit. I dont see any point in keeping him on.

For the last two years.....

I said he was poor at the back end of last season, only someone who is stupid would release someone who has been with the club since he was 15 on the back of a poor spell.......

Lets slaughter someone and say he should have been released on the 4th of August because he has a swollen ankle.

Agree with you Yubep, would love to see James back to his best, given the nature of his injuries I'm not surprised he ducks the tackle. Every time I watch him can't help thinking one decent tackle and career over.
Can he come good again with time and work ?

The million dollar question, the answer whether he'll get back to what he was before his second cruciate is in all honestly no but I'd love to see him get somewhere near. I'd rather the risk was being taken while he's still at Pools rather than chancing him coming good somewhere else. I'm pretty sure he's on massively reduced terms based on how often he plays and what he does when he does play, so lets give the lad a break.

He'll read this thread and feel like wrapping in! Remember one of our best away wins last season at Bournemouth? Who's piece of individual brilliance resulted in the only goal of the game?? That must have been two years ago was it?

I feel really sorry for Browny, he is undoubtedly capable and hugely talented and I can only imagine having someone like Nobby in the squad would bring his game on hugely.

I hope that he can stop picking up knocks and niggles in training and the games he plays this season because it feels like an age since he had an injury free extended run in the team, and I can see why people would say 2 years even if it isn't accurate.

Well said PJ. Brownie is still young and must be low on confidence given the last couple of seasons. I agree give the lad a break he's got natural talent, more down to fitness, luck and getting confidence back. Even if he needs a spell in the reserves or on the bench he's far from finished.
We all knock players at times for varying reasons, no player can be 100% all the time, at times like in a marriage in sickness and in health apply.
