After all the moaning Huddersfield fans did about our price being £25 their dearest ticket is £28, I wont give odds on that being the away price.

But their most expensive seat is only £48, compare that to Fulham £60, Chelsea £87, Man Utd £55, Spurs £80 and Arsenal a whopping £100. Lets face it most premier league clubs are robbing twats!!
Having said that...I have a ticket in The Kop for Liverpool v Swansea on the 5th November...looking forward to that!!

Why are programmes so expensive, they would sell many more if they were half the price. Only Carlisle in our league charging less for one. clappp

It's not really a very scientific survey is it?? A pie, a ticket, a programme, a cup of tea and a total. Assumes a lot.

On a minimum you'd price the ticket but it doesn't include a season ticket. Obviously in our case we'd come out No 1. It doesn't include a pint which most clubs provide or other things such as chips, lottery tickets, fanzine, shirt, hat, t-shirt, polo shirt etc etc etc to infinity.

In short it's bollocks. I have never bought a cup of tea or a pie in any football ground in the UK.

I accept that people do, but I suspect I'm in the majority.

God knows what Codyakkers pie bill stands at but he does get free ketchup which is also not addressed in the survey. sctatchinghead

The article on the BBC website is an interesting read. However I think a more accurate title would be the price of football for the fair weathered fan. For ages football has been geared towards being cheaper for those who are going to go regularly. Surely this makes sense? After all going to the football is not entirely like any other day out, like the survey is suggesting.

well it's not really bollocks, it's all about how much it costs to take in the full "matchday experience"

to most purists that would involve a pie and a programme.

The rest like a pint, lottery etc i'd class as extras

Ok, I'll go with the programme idea as a lot of people collect. I did once and passed them onto my nephew.

A soggy pie though??

Not economically defining anything I'd say. They aren't compelling.

The results of the survey were published in the Sun, which said us and Orient were the most expenisive in League One, and Gills in League Two.

I'm not surprised about Orient, they did have high ticket prices when we were in Division Three with them.

I know the chairman at Gillingham is quite unpopular around here because he charges high ticket prices.
