Excellent signing.
It's good to see Mick signing up and coming prospects especially with us being so short of cover at centre back.

Yeah, excellent signing for me. He's supposed to be an excellent prospect and Pools moved fast to get him under contract. Very highly rated non league player. I wish him all the luck in the world. Welcome to Pools Jackie lad.

get in there, obviously rated highly. what i like is that we have nipped in under other clubs' noses and signed him. i like the idea of non league youngsters stepping up- they have experience of the not so bright end of football and usually have a bit more drive to succeed rather than the many pampered youngsters that have been at a professional club since the age of 5.

I always think of the mickey nelsons, mackail smiths, george boyds, even the ian wrights as good examples of this.......

He's probably not in the game for the money either. Since his dad died in Ken Barlow's arms and he inherited the knicker factory I'd imagine he's loaded.

Great interview on Pools world, sounds shell shocked to have signed for us. Big change for the lad not only on football side but guessing from living in Kent to moving here at 18?

Good news for several reasons, prepare for some incisive analysis much...
Cover at centre back obviously
Gillingham were very keen to sign him so they see something to
MW said he wasn't going to sign anyone else so Baldwin is good enough to change his mind, and after about a week too
I should really be a detective...

agreeing with jackystache - the lads mentioned there always seemed to be reminded of their background, so tended to give more in terms of work rate as if they were constantly having to prove themselves in the situation they subsequently found themselves in

Sorry but as someone who sees the games properly from the Mill House I can tell you all that this lad is shite, too young, doesn't get stuck in and break peoples legs and hasn't scored a hat-trick against Darlo in the FA Cup.

Faversham Town Football Club are the only team, other than the English national team, to proudly wear the 'three lions' emblem on their shirts?

An England star in the making? If so, he could break the mould of the existing money-grabbing, flashy, promiscuous, boozing types representing the country
