Seeing as you were about ten when it came out you're forgiven! Your parents aren't though! Pretty much everyone who made it happen are members of this site although one or two have gone all happy clappy.

There were four tracks:

Never Say Die 2005
Two Little Boys
Hartlepool and the Monkey Song
Never Say Die 2005 (Remix)

Track three was two songs nailed together to form one. Basically the rules say there can only be a maximum of four tracks on a single but we had five so we glued two together. The version on this site is the Monkey Song without the kids singing their Hartlepool song. The final MP3 is the play it got on the Radio 1 chart show.

Download from the following links:

http://www.pooliebunker.co.uk/MP3/monkeyhangerz/NSDR.mp3

or; download the lot in a rar file (Winrar required to uncompress it) from

The fookin hoops that we had to jump through and the fookin blag I had to give the fookin chart investigators when they rang me at work one Wednesday afternoon...

You weren't the only one who had to field work calls. Something like 75% of the time I spent working on that project I was skiving from work and I hadn't mentioned anything about the CD to anyone.

I was at work the Wednesday that the midweek chart came out and mid morning the receptionist rang through and said 'I've got BBC Radio Tees on for you' ok no probs says I. Ten minutes later it was Radio 1 chart show followed a little later by Radio 5. These are not the normal sort of people who ring me at work. Over the next couple of hours, calls followed from: the Mail, ITV, The Daily Express and finally; Sky News. A little while later Louise on reception rang through and said 'you're going to have to tell us whats going on because the whole building, including most of the main board, are wondering why the world's media has woke up this morning and decided to ring you.

Andybody got the lyrics for the song that the kids sing? You can't quite make them all out on the CD sctatchinghead and I think they're quite good.

Cheers
