Could not agree more.

I've had a rubbish day but the team spirit on display tonight and the sight of players so determined to work hard for each other was an absolute pleasure to watch. It's cheered me up no end.

At long last another former Premiership club is added to the list of clubs felled by the mighty Pool.

Fooking brilliant lads. Well done clappp

Fucking awesome.

4-4-2 looks to be working nicely. Must say they that we are a lot better when teams come here to attack, just need to figure out a way through the poorer teams who want a point now!

Great game, great result! Enjoyed seeing our very own Mr Mad John giving the Lino pelters in the second half when Sweeney got shoved off of the ball by Dailly? And was that the dulcet tones of John Orley on the PA system tonight?

A great three points!!

I actually thought Charlton were quite negative tonight. The fact that their goal came from a dopey long ball over the top (the sooner we start dealing with these the way they deserve to be dealt with the better) speaks volumes for their tactics. Mind I have to say the control Ecclestone showed at the end to score was first class.

Totally agree re the formation. We got some nice moves going tonight and were fully worthy of the win. A point for Charlton at the end would have been a travesty.

Some weird results tonight again, great night for teams in and around us. Table looks great again, where the hell did Orient come from? At a guess they got about 6 loan players in from the Premi like most sides seem to?

And dare I say it Sheffield Wednesday slipping into a most unexpected dogfight in the bottom half of the table. Haven't they spent more or less the contents of Fort Knox on players this season

I don't think this season will finish much different to this one.. http://www.inthemadcrowd.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... id=1991/92

Obviously I'm talking Pools only as I don't expect us to finish above Bolton and Wigan...

Yep big well done to the lads last night, battled for them points. Peter Hartley, Paul Murray really stood out for me. Made the horrible boring bus ride back to Sherburn worth while after a good win like that. Same again Saturday please

Last night was the first time I've seen Sweeney look tired, he was fooked when he was subbed which is a measure of how much running he actually did. I have never seen the lad look tired his fitness levels are so high.

Amazing to think that I've read some people say he shouldn't be in the team.... when he's having his best ever season!

Now some div has started another thread on another message board crediting himself with the idea of moving Sweeney out of central midfield....

1) The formation was exactly the same at home to Colchester, Sweeney played on the right of a four then as well.

2) Sweeney hasn't really played in central midfield all season. I can think of once at Notts County at 1-0 down when we changed to 4-4-2.

As thick as mince.
