They had 11 shots on target and 8 off

I think it's safe to say we'll at least be in the play-offs.
An 18 point cushion with 13 games to go will do me :)

sounded like we were under the cosh a bit, in the 2nd half.

This time next Saturday (after two more wins), that league could look even better :!:

You must be getting bored of winning all the time, we did. It's overrated really. How you must long for the deliciousness of a defeat.....

think those stats were skewed by wilson deciding to defend the 18 yd line in the last 30 mainly because that was as far as the ball was rolling anywhere else and it just stuck in the mud

Well stats can be misleading cant they?
I didnt get any information from the game except those stats so for all I know their shots on target could all have been weak as anything efforts from outside the box that Dimi collected easily.
Not that I'm overly fussed now we have the three points
Thought he might have brought Boland on later on instead of Gibbo

Boland was not on the bench - despite what Pools World had on their site

Given the conditions (about which I didnt realise at the time) it made sense not to bring someone back after missing games with a hamstring onto that pitch.
Hopefully it was simply that.
Not that we're missing him at present but getting Boland back for the final push would be very nice indeed ta.

I think the conditions helped with the decision not to risk him - after all it is a winning side & Lee Bullock has played well recently. Be interesting to see if Boland is back, or at least on the bench on Tuesday.

From memory, we've beaten them once at the Vic, a League Cup tie a couple of years ago. Last League Meeting was I think Jermaine Easter's Grand Exhibition of Barn Door missing after he came on as an early sub.... whatever happened to him like?

MadJohn will be able to confirm, but I'm sure we've usually done better at Moss Rose than at the Vic - although we've not met often. I'm sure we've beaten them there at least twice (Tinkler goal in a playoff season, Eifion's last before his dry spell in the promotion season?) and got at least a couple of draws including this season.

It has the potential to be a banana skin, however Wilson knows the team still need to turn out a professional job and I expect us to win - but not thrash them.....

on a more cheerful note, great that we can grind out 3 more points in a quagmire. shows the spirit within the camp remains intact. we need to be beating the teams at the bottom. cant wait for tuesdat night.
