Why do we want them to draw? Why would we possibly want Swindon to pick up a point? I'd be happy to see Darlo make the play offs if in doing so they took points away from our promotion rivals.

I'm sure we'll be doing our best to get 3 points today

'Cos we want everyone dropping two points and no-one picking up three. A draw is useless in a points chase.

You must have had too many noodles. Let me explain s-l-o-w-l-y.....

Darlington play Swindon. Darlo are miles from auto promotion realistically their chances are zero. The top three spots are between Pools, Walsall, Swindon, MK, Lincoln and Stockport. So if the loids had have won they would have taken three points away from one of that six, with a draw they've only taken two.

And gained only one in their futile scramble for seventh, which is also something I don't want to happen. Swindon can pick up a single point every weekend for me as long as we're picking up three. It does them no good at all unless we happen to be level on points with them and lose. All that moisturiser must be softening your brain..................

Added to which., I reckon Stockport are a little bit too far off the pace and the Dons have fooked it. Walsall had better look to their laurels as well.

Now let me ask you, sir. What result would you like on Tuesday at Stockport v Walsall?? And why??

Thats a very different scenario, both teams are rivals for the top three so of course I'd like a draw. Darlo are not in the mix for the top three whilst Swindon are therefore I would have preferred Swindon to drop all three.

Ah but as the wise old sages say, we can't rely on other teams, we have to make our own luck. In the general way of it, I never want Darlo to win but I wanted them to take points off Swindon. Ergo, the best result in my book was a draw!!

Either way, it's far from over yet, the end of February will see the mist clear a bit and hopefully we'll have a bit more breathing space. :sweet:

Barging in and giving my unsolilcited answer: Stockport need descending from their perch. They are doing what we started doing 16 games ago and we know where that leads.
We DO NOT want another team in the mix.
Absolute priority must go to a top three place. We can concentrate on the title once two of the other top four are shaken off.

Not that we have any real say in the matter like.
