I think there will be very few record shops about in a couple of years.

The company I work for provides stock control systems to a few independent music retailers, and three of them have shut this week (Spin in Keighley and Bridlington, and Powerplay in Hereford). Even HMV are planning to shut lots of stores this year.

I think the writing was on the wall went Fopp (another former customer of ours) went tits up after acquiring Music Zone.

Very sad and our high streets will be all the poorer for their abscence.

I can sit here right now, find stuff i like, download it, listen to it, put it on my ipod, and i haven't even had to take my cock out my left hand the whole time.

Whilst everyone can do that, in this fast paced world we live in today, then the music shops will die.

It's so it feels like someone else is doing it. Sit on it for a bit so you loose the sensation and it's even better.

I never used to socialise in a music shop before like...

Each to their own.
