Has anyone else done anything a little over the top this Christmas? We drank a bottle of 1959 Moulin Touchais, with our Christmas pudding. We've had it since PC was given it as a birthday present, possibly 20 plus years ago. It was described by John Arlott, a wine connoisseur as well as a brilliant Cricket commentator, as 'liquid christmas pudding'. I've just googled it out of interest, to see how much it was worth, apparently around £200.

Well BP, I guess if you always intended drinking it one day then Christmas was as good as any.
But you forgot to tell us how it tasted

It was a powerhouse of oloroso, orange rind, honey, toffee, apple, spice and lemon, but not sure it was worth 200 quid like.

There is a half bottle of Croix Milhas for sale in Tesco's, normally £7.99 and reduced to £3.99, that is "Christmas cake in a bottle", not for guzzling, just for sipping, loverly.

I usually only spend January tee-total, but this year I'm going to make an exception for the Notts County game.

Marzipan is the devils excrement, nasty odious doofer of alien origins, usually eaten by people with questionable sexual desires and odd looking to boot!
