Bet you used to feel right at home sitting in the middle of a mob of crazed pensioners watching fat old blokes indulging in an amateurish struggle. Not so many enormous empty spaces in the crowd at the wrestling though.

There was a bloke from Hartlepool by that name. He used to be an announcer on Tyne Tees, then he was on the radio up in Newcastle... I heard it once where some woman from Newcastle phoned in to mention that when she got the train home, as soon as she reached Hartlepool she felt she was home (when we had a proper train service) .... he then proceeded to slag off the town and it's people.
