Its not necessarily good news. If Germany lose and finish second in their group then we are likely to play them rather than Ghana in the next round.

As much as I like to see the Germans fail, I must admit I'm worried about meeting them in the knockout round.

Having seen the big teams I have yet to see anyone that England should fear. The Germans get beat off a poor Serbia, the Argies don't look to have a defence worthy of the name and the likes of Italy are nothing flash. The French have already proven my statement that they are a pub team and Spain (my favourites) have bottled it. Even the so called emerging African nations have shown themselves to be more hype than substance.

England in my opinion are easily capable of winning this.

Also,I have yet to see a reason for anyone to fear England. At the minute I see no favourite at all for this tournament, its there for the taking.

A fair few on this board constantly bang their collective teeth about England no longer being 'England', but then want the 'spics', 'dagos', 'frogs' and the 'darkies' to win over England

Bit odd like.....

We were rubbish tonight but we still have every chance of going through as group winners. I'm still confident of that.

Tonight's abysmal performance could in a weird way be a blessing in disguise, if we'd played averagely and won 1-0 Capello probably would have stuck with the status quo, but after that we've GOT to change.
But sweet baby Jesus and the orphans, it was bad.
