correct mr Fetish, Dawson has been called up Gerrard as the Vice-Captain steps into Rio's role.

Were not going to see what he can do though. Capello left him behind because he rates Terry, Ferdinand, King, Upson and Carrager as better. He isnt going to suddenly play him ahead of those if he didnt think he should be in the 23.

Its called common sense, he aint gonna refuse to take someone in the 23 and then suddenly play him aheazd of others he did pick, would make him look rather stupid. If I was Dawson id have told him to shove it.

Are you for real?

he's not gunna tell him to shove it is he, its the flipping world cup, terry is 30 and rio is 31, dawson has a chance to break into the team when them 2 retire from international footy very soon.

Dawsons 26, he could go to the euros and the next world cup, saying shove it would ruin those chances.

Normally you speak sense, that was not sense

I may be wrong, but I'm sure Fatty Platty was backup for no brains Bryan Robson in the 1990 WC

He did quite well

And of course you would tell Capello to 'shove it', its on a par with most of the stuff you post

'Ello, who's that, Cheryl Cole, what a night on the tiles for free , a nosh off and a shag, a bed time story read by Stephen Fry, a fly past by the red arrows in your honour, a breakfast cooked by Delia Smith and a ride home in a private jet?'

Nah, thats wank, that is Cheryl, IOR are shite and so on.....

Correct with platt, italia 90, that volley against belgium, header against cameroon, he should have even been there, yet that tournament made him and he got loads of big money moves off it.

But then again he could have just said ere bobby robson, shove it!!

p.s. trevor sinclair was a replacement in 2002 for 2 plays, danny murphy, and steven gerrard, he played pretty decent and got some game time, but he could of said shove it too, it's only a world cup.

rolfl Just being part of the squad is a big deal and as Pubey said gains him experience for the next major championships. They key factor that will aid Dawsons chances of playing is Ledley Kings injury. It doesnt matter if Ledley king misses a few training sessions at spurs as dawson plays with him most of the time so they understand each others roles. When it comes to Terry this ins't the case and therefore tactics etc could be harder to achieve.

If there is a problem with John Terry I and see Dawson being higher up the pecking order than Upson and Carragher to play along side King.
