Now I know it usually is, or appears to be.

The National news on ITV at 6:30 tonight

Item 1 The 12 murders in Cumbria.

Item 2 The murder of a mother and her 23 month old son and body of man in Derbyshire, police not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

Item 3 The return of 3 soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

Item 4 Police blunders leading to Rachel Nickell murder.

4 News items covering the pointless deaths of 19 people.

May they all R.I.P.

But shows what a sad world we live in at the moment.

I've just spent the last hour chatting to a very depressed friend of mine. She's a copper in Derby and has been part of the investigating this. The state of the toddler is whats done her. I've seen PTSD many times and I seen it again tonight.

Isn't this Chris Musgrave feller supposed to be the mastermind behind bringing lots of jobs to the area?
The last I heard he was behind some plan to re-open Corus at Redcar!!

Have to be honest was never a believer in PTSD, and always felt, being part of the emergency services for over 30 years that some suddenly suffered from it for financial gain.

Over the years that view changed though thankfully I never suffered from it, but can well believe that some from yesterday and some from the Derby incident today will be suffering for many years to come. along with many from our armed services from incidents in many countries over the years.

Maybe my original opinion came from an school of thought within the service I served.

Would never doubt it now.

Hope your friend recovers as soon as possible and returns to her old self and her job serving the community.
