this is serious - Pools are heading for relegation as it stands, cos they will lose 3 points this week

Apparently pools have been told that they will not be deducted enough points that would see them get relegated.....

That is what I have been told by a players dad, but what other punishment can they give Pools, apart from a fine!!! also the players are going to refuse to take there 20% pay cut ifm they get relegated over this, because they are saying it wasnt there fault.....

to be fair, the players would have a point if the points deduction sends Pools down

Well a player told me that we could get points deducted but that the players can take action against the league and club for loss of earnings, IF THE DEDUCTION SENDS US DOWN ON ITS OWN.

I honestly have no idea how it would all work, but it could get complicated if a points deduction took us down apparently.

Of all the games for Tranmere to win it had to be this one. Millwall had a great chance to take second place from Dirty Leeds. banghead

My mam said that she heard on the radio that there will be no points deduction but Pools will start next season on -3 points, I have no idea who was saying it or what station it was on though

I don't think this is right either. This only happens for teams going into administration too late in the season for it to have a disadvantage on their league position.

If it means that it would make us safe this season, I'd actually take that...or a fine..or award Brighton 3 points.

-3 is a smaller points gap to make up than the points gaps clubs have had to make up in the past.

There is no chance of both Pools and Brighton being allowed to have the 3 points from the said game - we deserve to lose the 3 points and if it costs Pools a place in league one then some people at HUFC should be made to look for employment elsewhere.....

on the subject of players challenging rules for changes in terms of their contracts etc - well here's a novel idea - get a f-cking win at Brentford you pack of useless tw-ats

Has a team ever had points deducted this late in a season before? Effectively leaving us in a position were we have no time to react to the deduction, yes I know we have had all season to get more points than we have done, but we still don't know what is happening almost up to the last day of the season. But whatever our failings over the season, we don't deserve to be relegated on the whim of the authorities, over an administration error.
