If this comes about then I will withdraw my support for HUFC permanently
ADG why do you keep taking the club's side on this? How can you not have a conscience about this? Why are you behaving like that Iraqi War Minister?
This is black and white - it is bullying and the petition was pinned on the gates of Bedford Terrace
I hope Stockton Council evict HUFC from there
I hope the FA will get involved and impose sanctions on Pools until they drop this

Couldn't that be just a load of tosh until we know the facts?
mouldy old dough wrote:This story was put on the intotheblue board weeks ago and the club rang admin and told him to take it of our the legal team from HUFC would be in touch.
The Fat Man wrote:How many posts have there been on this forum about the greed of the premiershite and the death of solidarity in football. So it's fine when we're the little man, but self interest rules when we're not? I know that we don't have the facts here (either way) but some degree of consistency is needed. Parmo, to me, seems to be providing this; he hates the greed in modern football and really wants our club to act with dignity. Good on him, I say.

If all you know is what has been made public then I really can't understand how you can be making the pronouncements that you are doing about Pools being bullies etc.
As I said earlier, are Pools supposed to just sit back and be taken the piss out of if that's what is really happening, because until more facts are published neither I nor you lot know if that's actually the case here and that Billingham aren't just looking for sympathy when they're totally in the wrong.

Now IOR write off a million a year allegedly running HUFC - so 70 grand is relative small beer

well don't ever let me hear you complaining about the big shots in football screwing over the little guys regarding tv money etc in the future then
Bookmarked

We are allegedly heading for a huge chunk of bad publicity which, in my opinion, could have more damaging ramifications than £70k.
Maybe this is a bit of brinkmanship whereby the club create a huge amount of interest and magnamaniously back down in favour of their poor neighbours, thus gaining kudos for themselves.
I really hope so.
parmopooly wrote:Oi, You! Compo - but - pardon? But what has that got to do with Pools anyway? This is MY club doing this!!!
Pompey are no different to Cheaterfield, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leicester, Leeds, Rotherham, Southampton etc etc over the years - what they did was cheating!!!!
You are trying to bracket Billingham in the same category!!! I have answered that in my previous post about their cost cutting measures to live within their means
I think you just don't get this at all!!!

Fair enough I was being a bit daft there and I know Billingham are run by volenteers and I have taken measures think your point about Pools taking it up with the previous owner is key here and we shouldnt be trying to kill a club.
However if Pools are owed money we should have it back even if its 70p or 70,000
derwent wrote:This has nothing to do with Pompey or anybody else.
It is to do with the potential damage that our club could suffer.
Is that really too complicated to understand.
The north east of England is full of football loving folk....................how many will be on our side...........regardless of who is in the right??????
We could end up in local folklore..............for all the wrong reasons.
How old is the David v Goliath story???????????????
