I've just finished watching the Falkirk and Dundee United game which ended up 1-4.

Jon Daly scored a hat-trick and his general hold up play was very good. clappp

I'm thinking of what might have been if he had stayed at Pools...or am I looking through rose tinted glasses due to the state we currently find ourselves in. sctatchinghead

Daly was rubbish. When you get relegated out the football league, you fall in to the SPL rolfl

When you score a bullet header at Cardiff, you've earned every biscuit the club ever fed you.

Go on Jon!! clappp clappp

Jon Daly isn't a bad player. But we play at a higher standard than the SPL, and that's including Celtic and Rangers who are also shite.

It could be argued that to sell Daly for less money than we paid for Richie Barker was a little short sighted though.

We are shite though I was on about the general standard of League One. Leeds and Norwich would do well in the SPL, I'm talking top three. The likes of Falkirk would really struggle at this level.

However I do enjoy hearing Scots people say Muuurdddered

How nice life would be if only we could despatch the fellers to the SPL. The meeting would be very interesting. "Bugger off to the SPL.' 'I don't wanna.' 'Mr Bates you appear to have no clothes on, why??'

'I don't wanna.'

"Mr Bates you have to pay your creditors..'

Guess what comes next.

I'm Jewish I don't have to....

I bet he'd score against us too given half a chance.

Never forget that man's goal at Cardiff and he'll always be a hero for that along with Eifion who is a true legend

I reckon every team in the SPL would rip us and the rest of the teams in our division a new arse.

Just because it is one(or two)-sided, doesn't mean that it's worse than league one standard.

Enoch Showumni is Falkirk's best player.

He was about fifth choice striker at Leeds. Kevin Kyle does well, Jon Daly does well, it's moderate at best.

Do all of the teams have one player each like?

It's an impossible argument as there is no way of testing the theory, but i've been to SPL games in the past and teams like Hibs,Hearts, Aberdeen and Dundee United would rip us apart.

Agree entirely.

both Rangers and Celtic have been in the UEFA Cup final in recent years, and beat some good European sides to get there.
They still lose their fair share of games against other SPL teams, and Rangers have not won at Pittodrie for years.
The sides mentioned above (other than the Old Firm) would probably be Championship standard.

I was sorry to see Jon Daly leave,I think we would have gotten plenty of goals from him.
One of the last things I remember Neale Cooper saying was "Jon Daly will do come good for Hartlepool".
He was only a crap ref & 8 minutes away from being right.
